Old foes will reunite as South Launceston host Launceston, North Launceston face Longford and Deloraine head to Scottsdale for round-one action on Saturday.
The Examiner's club-by-club season preview will be replacing March's power rankings, you can read February's rankings for the premier league, division one and division two here.
Deloraine

Coach's comments: "Our goals are to be competitive for four quarters and focus on improvement from week to week, focus on the positives and what we can control. Expectations are going to be focused on effort in every game and off-field with recovery and driving the professionalism with extra trainings and bringing the club up to that next level."

Launceston
Coach: Jake Hinds
Captain: Brodie Palfreyman
Ins: Jake Hinds, Ryan Tyrrell, Zach Morris, Jacob Boyd, Jayden Hinds, Miller Hodge, Jackson Thurlow, Archie Wilkinson, Angus Jefferies, Dylan Farquhar, Jesse Price, Sam Rawlings, Sonny Whiting, Ryan and Jordan Shipp
Outs: Dylan Riley, Sam Foley, Liam Jones, Isaac Hyatt, Josiah Burling, Rocky Barron and Cooper Shady
Last year: Sixth in TSL
Coach's comments: "I'm big on getting the older fellas who have played at the club previously back around having a beer watching us or helping out in any capacity they can and then on the flip side of that I'm wanting to get the juniors heavily involved with us because they are our future and over half of our list were playing junior football the last 4-5 years. Expectations from myself are just for the group to keep turning up each week and wanting to improve as we all strive for the same thing. I'm not expecting us to roll out and win every game by 100 points as I know some people probably see us as a contender but the reality is just because we have brought in some talent doesn't mean it's going to happen overnight. It's a long year and the process to get to the top can be a struggle but that is what makes it all worth it at the end."

Longford captain Connor Alexander.
Longford
Coach: Kacey Curtis
Captain: Connor Alexander
Ins: Isaac Chugg (limited games), Cody Brinckman and Charlie Taylor
Outs: Jack Donnellan, Jaidyn Harris, Lachlan Dakin, Liam Davies, Luke Murfitt-Cowen, Connor Riethoff, Daniel Berry, Jakob Madden and Zach Morris
Last year: Grand finalists in premier division
Coach's comments: "As a coaching and playing group, our main focuses are to be super competitive every week and to nurture the exciting youth coming through our ranks. As a first-year coach, I'm eager for the challenge ahead and feel extremely fortunate for the level of investment our group has shown during the pre-season. The emergence of young talent is particularly exciting. In terms of results, our goal is to finish in the top three, giving ourselves the best chance to succeed."
North Launceston
Coach: Adrian Smith
Captains: Declen Chugg, Fletcher Bennett, Alex Lee
Ins: Ryder Bugg, Oscar Mansell, Samuel Husband, Isaac Smedley and Will Gibson
Outs: Blade Sulzberger, Harvey Griffiths, Jack Aherne, Will Manshanden, Lenny Douglas and Harry Elmer
Last year: Premiers in TSL
Coach's comments: "Our expectations for the year are to continue to push each other to be better. Our program has got multiple elements to it, with our VFL program and our Devils kids, and we've got a group of young players coming through, which is really exciting. Some of them missed out on a grand final last year and have gone to another level and are really hungry for success. We've got a really strong group of leaders that really want to drive standards and they're really keen, no matter what the competition is, to get the best out of themselves."

Scottsdale coach Rickie Dolliver.
Scottsdale
Coach: Rickie Dolliver
Captain: Joe Krushka
Ins: Tom Itter, Lachie Gladwin, Billy Lade, Tom Hadley and Jamieson Nunn
Outs: Kyle Lanham, James Hayward and Brad Tuffin
Last year: Ninth in premier division
Coach's comments: "We started from a fair way back, only winning one game last year, so it's going to be a big step up. We've been able to keep most of the guys that we had ... and we have a lot of good juniors coming through. It's not going to happen overnight, but I think we've set most of the building blocks in place already."

South Launceston's Olly Woodcock-Davis
South Launceston
Coaches: Tom Foon and Grant Holt
Captains: Harry Charlesworth and Lachie Cocker
Ins: Logan Smith, Tom Munting, Tom Summers, Max Dawkins, Olly Alexander, Max Matthews, Toby Morrison and Kale Fraser
Outs: Leigh Harding, Luke McCarty, Jordan Tepper, Cody Lowe and Harry Summers
Last year: Premiers in premier division
Coach's comments: "With the group that we've got, we're really excited. We've proved that we can keep up with the quality sides, playing Devonport when we had a practice match. The goal is to win the premiership, there's no shying away from fact that we believe we can get there. With the group that we've got, we're not setting a limit to what we can do," Foon said.
